Founded in 1854, N.H. Bragg began as a blacksmith supplier selling coal and bellows, anvils and hammering tools, as well as steel and buggy parts.
Today, the company distributes industrial, safety, and janitorial equipment and supplies and serves more than 3,500 customers throughout Maine and New Hampshire, from large pulp and paper mills, manufacturers, utilities and government entities to fleet operators, contractors, welding fabricators and local machine and repair shops.
N. H. Bragg represents more than 500 nationally-recognized suppliers, all of whom are leaders in product innovation and service, so we can bring our customers more than 300,000 high-quality products and any related repair and training support needed.

These affiliations have allowed us to offer the advantages of national distributorships while maintaining local control and ownership – and the personal service and strong business relationships that mean so much to us.
Thanks to our membership in supplyFORCE, we’ve been able to offer national account and integrated supply contracts to customers looking to lower inventory and reduce transactional costs, while also providing partnership agreements to national accounts with multiple locations.

N.H. Bragg’s corporate offices are located in Bangor, Maine, in a modern warehouse facility that serves three major purposes.
The building houses more than 30,000 products in 82,000 square feet of storage space, it functions as our distribution center and it also houses our newly expanded 10,000 square-foot showroom. Here, we display a large selection of contractors’ supplies and equipment and safety items, allowing our customers to buy “off the shelf” — and to benefit from the advice of our knowledgeable sales staff.
We serve the southern part of the state and beyond through our sales office and 6,800 square-foot showroom in Scarborough, Maine.
